About me
After over 20 years in the K-12 classroom, Dr. Johnson joined Ottawa University as the lead faculty for the school of education. During her two years at Ottawa, Dr. Johnson has written and implemented four different MEd programs, written a program to help individuals earn their Master's degree and teaching license in one year, while also providing trainings and PD for local districts and other Universities. Her heart for teachers at all levels is clear as she works with student teachers and veteran educators to ensure everyone's journey is fulfilling and unique. During her time in the classroom she taught choral music, social studies, English, and English Language Learners. Staying connected with districts and current educators is key to developing programs that are relevant and impactful. Her next project is a class for anyone seeking recertification hours at the grad level. The class will focus on strategies and research to support SEL being provided in all lesson plans.
